Gibbons strived hard and devoted lots of time just to clean her community. In one of her programs, they picked up trash in a popular bay reserve and transported it to land using a boat from the Rural Fire Service. Gibbons also has a campaign against curb vandalism and graffiti offenses. According to Gibbons, they are the root of all problems. Thus, she took this challenge and conducted a legislative framework that obligates offenders to clean their graffiti and appear in legal court. As what Melanie Gibbons said, “People take pride in their homes and the area they live in so this funding will help us find a solution that works,”
